Each project begins with building a workbench that is absolutely flat and level.
I decided to include drawers to store supplies and a lot of the junk in my shop that I needed out
of the way. This is one heavy, solid workbench. It is 12' long by 3.5' wide. - this seemed like it was a big project at the time - it pales in significance to the actual "project". |
Other items needed include a place to trace drawings - an old window with a shop light underneath. |
A "hotbox" to keep epoxy warm and a larger "hotbox" to cure and then "post-cure" fiberglass layups (avg. temperature in WA is in the 40's and 50's most of the year!) |
And, a cloth rack to dispense the miles of fiberglass I anticipate using. |
The workspace is ready - just need plans and materials!
Plans ordered 11/27/2001 & Received on 12/4/2001 I found a list of materials on someone's website and ordered Chap. 4 materials on 11/28/2001 - even before I got the plans!! Sure hope that website was right! |
