The Mad Rocket Scientists Website

Welcome to the home page of the infamous and completely unknown  " Mad Rocket Scientists".

Who are these madmen you ask ???  Well,  for starters, we are a small, non-commercial group of aviation enthusiast and rocket builders that believe in making our dreams come true.   With a unique combination of persistence, dedication and dumb luck , we strive to make better ( flying )mouse traps.    Frightening as it may sound, most of the guys work in the US Space Program, and most are actually degreed rocket engineers.  (Note: there really is no such thing as a rocket scientist)   For the most part, however,  we are what we do, and we do build airplanes, rockets and the occasional particle beam weapon..............  :_)

Currently, the team is finishing up work on a composite, tandem wing  experimental aircraft design / fabrication project.  Our goal for the past few years has been to create the preeminent " next generation " tandem wing aircraft.   To this end, we designed, built and are flight testing our prototype aircraft :  Eos Raptor

This site and all it contains is totally experimental.   We are in no way sanctioned, condoned, or even acknowledged by any serious aviation groups or organizations like the EAA,  FAA, Viking Aircraft, or Slipstream Inc.  Please note that we are in no way associated or in contact with the legal owners of the DragonFly aircraft design. If you are looking for the legal owners of the Dragonfly Aircraft Design, you may get information about them by  <<   clicking  here   >> .     Representatives of Slipstream Inc. should be able to answer any of your factory related questions.   Legal plans, parts, etc. are available only from the factory.     Please take the time to visit this resource site and investigate the benefits of official factory support.

Please Note:  The Dragonfly factory has officially separated themselves from all "scratch builders" as of March 2001.  They do not support or endorse the plans built community in any way.   This has had far less affect on the plans building community than you might imagine.  We,  of course, were disowned long before that.
