There have been some construction delays due to my career obstacles. I’m find myself working in Minneapolis, MN this month and will be there until November. After that it might be on to Los Angeles. The BMW saga continues. I ruined a rear bearing last night trying to get the a rear hub assembled so I’m going to have to order a replacement. Maybe next month I can finish that project. As for the Cozy, I feel like I’m never going to get to work on it again. Since the economy collapsed in the Northeast, I’ve been spreading out farther and farther west in search of realistic work. But enough whining.

This months entry is simply made to keep me in the habit of publishing. I haven’t done any building for over a month. I simply don’t have the money for it right now. I’m hoping that will change in the next month or so. Then I will have to find the time! Bu I know I can find that.

I noticed a few folks talking about the Jabaru engine on the boards this month. When I talked to the Jabaru guys at Oshkosh, I learned that there is another Cozy builder who is installing one of their engines. The engine also received a “favorable” mention from Nat Puffer, the original Cozy designer. Maybe this engine will turn out to be a good option after all. Anyway, I can’t afford a $20 box of latex gloves never mind a $20,000 engine so I’m not sure why I’m thinking about it. But after all, those of us who build airplanes must be dreamers right?

The Aeronca images are for my dad.

Maybe I’ll have something more interesting to say next month.
