Elevator  Construction

Here you can see the elevator cores with the bottom skin complete.  On a quick note, when inserting the torque tubes I shaved 1/8" off of both top and bottom of the opening to allow the tube to "slip" in better.  I also had to radius the inserts more than Brock had originally done.  They did not fit into the tube.

After mounting the elevators.  I installed the tips.  Carved mostly with a piece of sandpaper wrapped around the piece of elevator torque tube you cutoff previously.  Worked great.
