Chapter 4
I used the AutoCAD files on the
Unofficial Cozy Web site to plot drawings.
I cut out the drawings, attached them to the foam and cut out the
foam. I cut all of the openings before
applying the fiberglass.

I am lucky my wife Mariclair loves helping me build the
plane. She has been at
my side every day.
To glue the pieces together I mixed
flox with 5 minute epoxy. I used
duct tape to join the pieces together on the bottom. I
then put duct
tape on both side of the top joint. Lifted to open the
gap and filled with
the epoxy. Removed the top tape and let the glue
harden. I sanded the
joints
smooth and ended up with the above.

Here is F-22 and F-28 before and
after we put the fiberglass on. We used
MGS 335 epoxy with 50% slow and 50% fast hardener. We covered the parts peel
ply and weighted them down.
Here is the instrument panel and the
seat back almost complete. All that is
left to do is drill the holes.
