I've tried to scan some barcodes and got this message:
"The found item (NAME OF THE ITEM) belongs to an unexpected product department and can not be processed."

What does it mean? What should I do when I encounter this message?

I'm using MyStuff2 v1.2 for iPhone 4 and iPad 2

Can you provide me some of the barcode numbers that result in this message?

Amazon documents a list of supported product departments. Unfortunately not all of their data falls within the documented departments. When MyStuff2 encounters such a product it displays the message you are seeing.

By telling me some of the barcode numbers I can look into the data returned by Amazon. In the meantime you will have to manually enter the data for the products in question.

This would be much easier if Amazon would follow their own rules.

Sure, no problem:

UPC
885909457595 (this is from Apple's iPad 2 - Black, 32 GB, Wi-fi only)
UPC
885909471812 (this is from Apple's iPad 2 - White, 16 GB, Wi-fi only)

Thanks for the info. The next update to MyStuff2 will better handle such cases.

Thank you! It's not everyday we get such quick response from the developers. MyStuff2 has one of the best customers support of App Store. KUDOS!

MyStuff2 1.2.1 eliminates this issue in most cases.
