I have followed your steps above in this forum,
and have finally been able to backup my data from MyStuff
That being, the adding of index.html

When I try to restore it to MyStuff2, it does not give me any error message.
Instead it wipes out the default locations and categories. making MyStuff2 impossible to use.
Meaning it crashed when you try to enter a new location or category.
After re-installing MyStuff2 twice, I got smart and did a backup of the default empty database MyStuff2 came with.
So I was able to use that to get it back to a usable app again after each attempt to get my data in.

I have tried backing up MyStuff 4 times, so I had different backups to try

I have tried both restore and insert, they both crash MyStuff2 wiping out the structure

I have only a few hundred images and most of them have images
the back up is a little over 12 MB

I have an iPhone4
iOS 5.1

Running MyStuff2 1.4.2

It sounds like MyStuff2 is having trouble converting your old My Stuff2 database. What version of My Stuff do (did) you have?

If you send me the MyStuffBackup.msa file you backed up from the older My Stuff I will convert it for you to work with MyStuff2. I will then send you back the updated file so you can load it into MyStuff2.

If the file is too large for you to send via email please get it to me via Dropbox. If you don't have Dropbox I can share a folder with you to upload it.

Email the msa file to me at:

Thanks, I just emailed you my MyStuffBackup.msa from MyStuff, looking forward to you converting it for me. I was happy to learn google increased the attachment limitations to 25 MB a while ago. my MyStuffBackup.msa is only 12 MB so I was able to email it to you without a problem.

As for which version of the old My Stuff was using:
My Stuff v4.3.7

I'm going to have to reinstall MyStuff2, it is crashing every time I try to open it now.
Looks like my data really corrupted it.

I'm doing the reinstall right now so it will be ready for the restore.

Thanks for the help!

I sent back your fixed data. Let me know if you have any further issues.

FYI - the reinstall isn't necessary but won't hurt. The crashes are because the current data didn't convert so the database is all messed up. Once the fixed data is loaded this won't be an issue.
