I would like to start out by saying that this is the best database software that I have found, and I think I have tried them all. I just crossed over from Windows Mobile to iOS and was using Handbase. It was good software for Windows Mobile but the iOS version fall way short of the mark. This is why I am so happy to see the development of iLogger. There is one thing that is a must have for this software though and it might be there but I have missed it. This is the ability to be able to use fields from the previous log. What I mean by this is, say I want to create a fuel log. In this log I want to enter my odometer reading then compare this with my previous odometer reading in a calculated field to get my miles driven since my last log.

Again, thank you for the excellent software and what seems to be very good support.

Dave.

Thanks for the kind words. Your suggestion is on my TODO list for a future version. Thanks.

FYI - if you are looking for a more generalized database app you might want to take a look at another one of my apps called My Stuff.

Enjoy

I have looked at this app also, but I am one of those guys that like to have such a data base that is very specific to my needs and the fuel log example is a very basic one I know. This function is one that I use in a lot of applications.

Thank you again for you quick response and support.

Dave

I have a similar request; i like to have a (global) calculate or summarize function.
I keep mileage i drive for business rides. I just reset the counter in my car when i leave home and when i am back home i enter the destination and the mileage i drove. I would love to see a function where i can see how much miles i drove for work in a certain time interval, like: in the year 2011. I know it can be easily done when in excel or Numbers when i export the log, but it would be cool if i could do it with the HTML export for example. Or, within the log. Like a global calculated field like suggested above.

Thanks for listening Rick.

i just noted the Summarize switch in the entries, sorry about that. It can do exactly what i want; summarize my mileage. Using the filter i can filter the year.
It's just there.
