Unfortunately this is not possible. Apple does not provide any support for such a method. If Apple allows 3rd party applications to do this in the future I will certainly update iLogger to work this way.

Hi

I have a jailbroken 3GS iphone and I am using iPhoneBrowser to copy files into my PC.
I would like to know which directory has the exported file in the iPhone. Then I can copy the file manualy to my PC.

I don't support doing things in a non-standard way such as on a jailbroken device. But if you can find where iLogger is installed you will have no problem finding the exported data within its Documents directory. Just look for the file while the dialog is being displayed in iLogger telling you the URL to enter in your browser. This is the only time the file exists.

Hi

I would like to give short brief for you.
I have been looking for such app (for logging). Finally, I found it in your iLog app. Hence, I bought iPhone 3GS for this reason.

My setup at home is as follows:
- DSL LINKSYS wirless modem-router for internet access. (4 ports )
- PC (with windows vista) connected to the modem-router by UTP cable.
- iPhone with USB cable.

I am new to iPhone.
I normaly use iphonebrowser to copy files from PC to my iphone using USB cable.
In you previous post you mentioned that I can move files by wireless wifi (my wirless LINKSYS modem).

Could elaborate more on how can i do this with with my PC and iphone.

thanks alot.

I'm not in a position to give you specific instructions on how to setup your own home wireless network. But assuming your network is properly setup then it is a simple matter of running the iPhone Settings app and selecting Wi-Fi. On the Wi-Fi Networks screen make sure Wi-Fi is set to ON. Then selected your home network under "Choose a Network...". Setup whatever password or passphrase is appropriate for your network.

At this point I will assume that your iPhone is connected to the same home network as your computer. Once you have gotten that far (and again, I can't help you get to that point), then you can run iLogger, go to Tools, Data Transfer, and then pick which ever transfer you wish to do (backup, restore, export, import). You will be prompted to enter a specific URL into your computer's browser.

More detailed instructions can be found on the iLogger website at:

Hi

Thanks.

I followed your procedure and I was able to get the follwoing :

Click the link below to download your iLogger export.

باشنيني.csv

Note: If your browser displays the exported data instead of prompting you to save the CSV file please click your browser's Back button then right-click on the above link and choose "Save Target As..." or "Save Link As.." so you can save the CSV file on your computer.

If you notice the filename is garbage because I used my local languge ( Arabic ) in iLogger entries.

My question : Can iLogger app support my Arabic Language. (by the way my iPhone has full Arabic language support by Apple.

Thanks.

There is nothing in iLogger that should prevent the use of Arabic. The strange display of the filename on that web page could just mean the browser isn't displaying the page using UTF-8 encoding. I don't know what browser you are using but somewhere in the menus there should be a way to set the character encoding. Find that menu and choose UTF-8 or Unicode.

Are you having any other issues using Arabic within iLogger?

Most likely the same problem. When you import the CSV file into Excel there should be a place to tell Excel what character encoding to use. Again, specify UTF-8 or Unicode.

If you are still having issue please send me your CSV file. I won't be able to read the Arabic but I can at least make sure it really is Arabic and not garbage.
