Having read many of the posts on filters it appears I've been trying to do something the software cannot do. Which is a shame because I really like the product.
I am interested in using Mystuff2 to hold my full household inventory & I was hoping to be able to apply filters across all categories. For example I added fields for 'purchase cost', 'current value' & 'replacement cost' to all categiries. These provide information on net worth & how much home contents insurance is needed. Am I expecting too much or is this possible & I'm just missing something.
I was also hoping to be able to print reports for insurance purposes, or the complete inventory for the removalists if I was moving house.

Currently filters apply to a single list of items whether these items are for a single category or a location, etc. There is no way to create "global" filters that work on similar attributes in other categories. I have plans to add such a feature in a future update.

MyStuff2 allows you to generate PDF reports of your data which can be printed. Or if your iOS device has access to a printer via Air Print then you can print the report directly from MyStuff2. Note that this printed report is identical to the PDF report.

The easiest way to print or generate the PDF report is to view the list of items you wish to print then tap on the Actions icon in the bottom left of the item list. Select Share Items or Print Items. Both take you to the Export Settings screen. Choose the appropriate settings for printing or exporting the PDF report.

Let me know if you need any further assistance.
