I'm loving the possibilities of this app.

I cant seem to understand the logic of the All Logs view, however.

In the picture below, I believe the All Logs view should be showing 'Scott Scale', from the Blue arrow, rather than 'Checked' from the Red arrow.

I am not understanding it correctly?

The entry rows displayed under the calendar work the same whether you are looking at "All Logs" or a specific log. This is the point of the colored circle. It helps you identify the specific log the entry belongs to.

This is actually identical to how the built in Calendar app works. You can assign a calendar event to one of several calendars. If you then view "All Calendars" you see the different colored circles and the actual event information, not the name of the calendar.

You can change the entry display format if you wish. Edit the log and scroll down to just below the attributes. Tap on the row labeled "Entry Display". The configured entry display is used whenever an entry is displayed for that log whether you are looking at just that log or "All Logs".

To make this clearer, add an entry to two different logs on the same day. Then view "All Logs" and select that day. Again, this is identical to how the built in Calendar app works. The only difference is iLogger lets you customize the attributes for each log where in Calendar, the same attributes are used for all calendars.

Does this help or did I just confuse you?

Rick

That all works great (not sure what a group is though) and I've bought the full version.

A search option would be a great feature (though you're probably going to say it's already there!).

Thanks again.

No searching yet. I wanted to get the initial release out first. Some sort of searching will be coming in a future release.

Groups are a way to group log entries together. One example can be found with the supplied Gas Mileage log. There are two groups, each representing a different vehicle. When you view a log summary you can view data from a specific group. A future release will most likely have a way to view the calendar so it only shows entries from a specific group as well.

And thank you very much for your purchase. Feel free to make suggestions for enhancements or ask more questions.

Enjoy.

BTW - if you are so inclined, I'd love to start getting some good reviews on iLogger in the App Store. Thanks again.

Searching is now supported in iLogger 2.2.
